William Whitecloud in his book The Magician's Way introduces 7 secrets of magic.
The 4th secret is “there is never anything to do, but always action to take”
Confounding as this axiom may be the key to it is a subtle distinction between 'doing action' and 'true action'.
Notice the things that have to be 'done'. The 'To-Do' list that never quite gets finished. The demands of the world that have to be swatted away like flies. We 'do' what needs to be done, 'needs must' and, like Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, we are not free to dive into what really matters until the chores are done.
Action on the other hand, when it is true has an Indiana Jones feel to it, it is our future calling to us. True action serves what really matters to us.
Are you aware of the 'doing action' of dealing with your circumstances and 'true action' moving you to what really matters?
This awareness is gold. It allows you to discern where to put your focus, attention and energy. It serves what matters to you, and moves you, like Indiana Jones machetting through the jungle, in the direction of your dreams. True action is pointed to the #truenorth of the future you want to create and will take you directly there.
