At our Evolve For Entrepreneurs weekend pilot retreat in Portugal recently we were delighted to screen Teresa Judice Da Costa’s Tilt – The Happening of Poetry.
We had the added benefit of Teresa's presence to tell us a little more about what inspired the movie and the decisions and choices that went into putting it together in the form that it is in.
You may wonder what poetry has to do with entrepreneurship but the act of creating from nothing whether a poem, a painting, a piece of music or a business all come from the creator's choice to be in and 'tilt' into the void.
Tilt is a close up look at the act of creation through the medium of poetry. Teresa has distilled the essence of the poetic creation through the voices of individual poets as they go about their lives. The ordinary backdrop of living is a canvas for lyrical and profound thoughts. The power of this short movie is in its simplicity and its rawness.
