The Void Is Alive

Recently I have been struggling with the space between what I know - about awareness, presence, imagination - and how I actually "do" my life.
Business wise I am in a lull, and it has been awhile.
I am leaning into collaborations and experimenting with new ways of serving beyond 1:1 coaching. I can still be inspired and creative.
I am excited about the programs I am working on; The Imagination Factory - 8 weeks of playful, practical sessions to create an intuitively inspired business strategy, Evolve: The Spirit-Led Leadership Program a guided journey to live from Spirit and practise the skills of synergy and Evolve: The Journey an annual journey of personal discovery wrapped in a Greek holiday.
All distillations of everything I’ve learned: rich explorations of how presence, awareness, and imagination can be harnessed to create work that is fun, punchy, and powerful.
And yet - for all the energy I put in, it seems like nothing is coming back.
There is a tension. A tension that demands, that critiques, that scrutinises. A nagging pressure that sets my consciousness on high alert and the deepest wisdom available in awareness, presence, and imagination tends to get left behind.
Lao Tzu reminds me: "Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished."
Growth isn't always visible, momentum isn't always tangible.
I don't know what is unfolding here and in the invitation to be in the unfolding, to be still, to wait and listen for what wants to emerge I feel like a cat on a hot tin roof!
And yet as I cultivate the patience what shows up is a whisper of Leonard Cohen, gravelly, textured, weathered.
"Ring the bells that still can ring. Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack in everything - that’s how the light gets in."
The void is alive. Even when what I want isn’t happening, something is happening: the light quietly finds its way in, filtering through the gloom of my angst - a Hallelujah of meaning that goes beyond the business I am searching for.
A reminder that what sustains me - what keeps me showing up - is the delight of imagination: the unexpected, the serendipitous, the moments that whisper of the sacred nature of everything and invite me into the adventure of life.
✨ From stillness to strategy.
✨ From imagination to impact.
This is what keeps me alive: the joy of knowing that every small act of imagination, presence, and awareness is part of the vision what Charles Eisenstein calls The More Beautiful World My Heart Knows Is Possible.
