Evolve 2022 – a gathering or PLEASURE, PURPOSE & POSSIBILITY took place at the Gayatri Mandir, Arillas in Corfu from 12-17th June.

The core of Evolve was a workshop from Monday through Friday called Evolve: The Journey. Around the workshop we had various forms of yoga, Qigong & Kundalini Meditation for our participants also open to the local community in the mornings and early evenings. We had intimate Conversational Themed dinners, a Cacao ceremony, a Dance night hosted by our in-house DJ TaylorMade and a Concert night brought together by host of local musicians Kaylan, Alex & Kaushayla of JagaSpace Gongspa, Nikolas Karunesh, Igor supported by our Resident Musician Aingeala De Búrca.

I opened with the story of the Evolve creation supported by a story of myth for the week ahead enacted by Taylor, our galliant knight and Ali Pilling our Pleasure & Intimacy guru.

It all started with a coconut, in Arillas last summer.

Not a real coconut but the sense of a coconut. My heart speaks to me in metaphors, outrageous pictures and quite nonsensical symbols. Over time, with practise I have learnt to distinguish the language of my heart from the language of my head. This is the work of Evolve - cultivating a relationship with the language of heart.

The coconut came from a wild corner of my imagination. It was persistent. When I asked it, it ‘told’ me (somehow!) that it was an event called Evolve, to be hosted at the Gayatri Mandir. It was unequivocal about that.

And it ‘told’ me the topic of evolution, about unfolding with the unfolding of life, about being at on on the edge of the emerging future, about revelations and more. That was last Summer. For many months there was nothing, then there were revelations, upheavals and changes and a shoot started to emerge. The first 2 trimesters were uncomfortably slooooooow. The last trimester has been manic.

It speaks of love and the message that everyone has a heart – ‘a pure nature that seek to participate in the wonder of life, that you do have dreams, things that matter to you and that you love. Your natures lives by breathing creativity in and out. Evolve is an opportunity to rekindle the spark and connect with and enjoy the spark in others.

Evolve speaks to me of the creative imperative to not only find our own spark but also to see that EVERYONE has a natural ability to create the most fantastic outcomes in life and when we relate to THAT part in others your life will become a most AMAZING WONDER-FUL experience.
