These days, it seems like everyone has a coach. The message is clear—if you want to be successful, you need one. Coaching has become the trend, the must-have accessory for those chasing greatness. But is it just a passing fad? A fashionable buzzword?
I’ve never been entirely comfortable with the label of ‘coach.’ It feels limiting. Yet, I can’t deny that I have a gift for it—one that is both my strength and my greatest challenge. I see potential in others with startling clarity. Their possibilities shine before me, a path illuminated like a string of fairy lights—inviting, obvious, waiting to be walked.
But when I turn that gaze inward? Nothing. A vast emptiness. A blank space where inspiration should be. Perhaps I am blinded by my own light, unable to see what’s right in front of me. In those moments, I feel heavy, weighed down by the illusion of nothingness, questioning if I have anything at all to contribute.
And that is why I have a coach.
To hold the vision when I lose sight of it. To steady the lamp when I stumble in the dark. To remind me that I am more than my doubts, more than the shadows I sometimes mistake for truth. Choosing to step fully into my potential means choosing to walk into the light—trusting that someone else can guide me toward the version of myself I long to become.
I do the same for my clients. I feel the beating heart of their potential. I know that together, we can climb the Everest of their dreams. True coaching isn’t just about strategy or accountability—it’s about transformation. It’s about stepping beyond the rational mind into the realm of imagination, where the real breakthroughs happen.
Being coached at this level requires courage. It’s like placing your heart in the hands of a master surgeon, trusting they will guide you through to the other side. It’s about shedding who you think you are to become everything you were meant to be.
Coaching isn’t just a service. It’s a calling. It’s serious work—life-altering, mind-expanding, spirit-soaring.
To be a coach in the truest sense of the word, in the exciting, alive sense of the word is to bypass rational thinking and orient and act from the imaginal realm. To be coached from this perspective is about the courage to put your heart in the hands of a top surgeon who truly cares about you coming through the other side. It is about dying to who you think you are to become WHATEVER and WHOEVER you would really love to be. Coaching is serious stuff.
