B is for Bumfuzzling
A to Z of made up words

Uncertainty is bumfuzzling
It brings up fear
It shakes the cage of my knowing
Shows it to be illusion.
Goals and dreams that I have been so confident about
Shimmer and dissolve like a mirage
Instead I find myself coddiwompling through life
To a destination disappeared
And there is immense liberation.
Things are not how I think they are.
‘How it is’ shatters
It’s shards and fragments
Flung into infinity
I am a dust mote
Floating in limitlessness
Horrified at being blown to smithereens.
And then
Through a clink just wide enough
I glimpse the wonder
Of what else is possible
Ideas wink and glimmer
Twinklings in the eye of the mystery
Luring me into the void
Of possibility and expansion.
Creativity is the ability to join dots that have never been joined before. Uncertainty, not knowing and not needing are the openings to creativity.
As a human being I am unsettled and disorientated by uncertainty. I am subject to normal fears and concerns and have my brain freeze moments.
As an Imagination Technologist I recognise uncertainty as a portal to access my unique creativity. With a little practise events that trigger uncertainty have become gifts and I have learnt how to strategically cultivate the quality of uncertainty to access the panoply of my imagination at will and bring innovative ideas and perspectives into being.
We are all uniquely creative. This capacity, with a little time, attention and training is available to all of us.
