I have a roof over my head for now and over the next few weeks but there is uncertainty. I navigate a life that is about following my heart and transcends any notion of operating from a fixed location.
This is my 5th year living in this way. Not so much a nomad or a traveller but rather a peripatetic being called to be in particular places, with particular people at particular times.
It is not for everyone and not everyone is called to it but it is my teacher for now. 10 things I have learnt so far:
1. My real needs are few and easily met
2. I am loved and welcomed in many places
3. My default is to be fearful, wary of people and that creates separation
4. My fear brings up judgement, my judgement is my ego's way of helping to keep me safe
5. Fear is constant but when I let go of judgement space opens for connection and dissolving the fear until I step into the unknown again
6. My community of like mind souls is everywhere. All I have to do is tap into it
7. Environment is important. When I have access to nature, people, good coffee, a friendly cat and warmth my soul is soothed and nourished
8. The possibility of new adventures is a primary stimulator for me, no surprise my business is Crossing Frontiers. New horizons keeps me on my toes, curious, stimulated and motivated
9. Presence - like the diver on the diving board - this way of living calls me to come down to earth, noticing, acknowledging, being aware, accepting and allowing
10. Surrender - the quality of being with what is to witness the unfolding of what is next
Of the 10, Surrender is what I am called to work with again and again and it is where I am now as I step into the void of my next destination and my next calling
